Earnit (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Name, email address, and account credentials
• Body metrics: weight, body fat percentage, and related measurements
• Health and activity data: daily steps, sleep hours, water intake, workout completions
• Nutrition data: calories, macronutrients, food logs
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers)
• Profile photos and content you post publicly on the feed

Information collected automatically

• Browser type, device information, and IP address
• Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies for session management

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate and improve the Earnit platform
• Calculate challenge points, rankings, and prize eligibility
• Provide AI-powered coaching, meal plans, and workout recommendations
• Process payments and issue coaching credits via Stripe
• Send transactional emails (welcome, payment confirmation, results)
• Monitor for fraudulent activity and enforce our Terms of Service
• Analyze aggregate usage to improve the platform

4. Health Data

We collect health and fitness data solely to operate the challenge (scoring, leaderboard, AI coaching). We do not sell your health data to third parties. We do not use your health data for advertising targeting. Health data is stored securely in our Supabase database with row-level security — you can only access your own records.

5. Sharing Your Information

We share your information only as follows:

• Stripe — payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Anthropic — AI coaching responses are processed via the Anthropic API; we do not share personally identifiable information beyond the message text
• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Legal obligations — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Public Information

Your username, challenge rank, and total points are visible to other users on the public leaderboard and activity feed. Content you post to the feed (including workout photos you choose to share) is visible to all users. You can control what you share through your profile settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, or as necessary to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing privacy@earnit.com. Note that some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records).

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security in our database, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Request a portable copy of your data

10. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage for authentication session management (Supabase Auth). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from logging in.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, contact us at privacy@earnit.com and we will promptly delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
